2020 Burdette Anderson Scholarship Recipients

 

     Each year, Rockford Rotary awards a $2,000 Burdette Anderson Scholarship to a male and a female student from among a group of students selected from each of the Rockford area high schools.  The Scholarships were named in memory of Rotarian Burdette Anderson and have been awarded since 2002.  The scholarships are presented by Burdette's daughters, Susan Vetrono and Linda Oshita.  This year's recipients were Enzo Marcello from Rockford Christian High School and Jasmine Keith from Guilford High School.  Enzo will pursue a major in Marine Science at the University of South Carolina where he plans to continue his community service work.  Jasmine will begin her college career at Rock Valley College with a major in biology or nursing and she has been accepted to attend the St. Anthony College of Nursing in the spring of 2022.  Rockford Rotary congratulates Enzo and Jasmine for being excellent students and wishing them good luck in the future.
