Tutoring Volunteers for Rock House Kids
The Literacy Committee is reaching out to you for volunteers for tutoring at Rock House Kids.
With Rockford Reads temporarily on hold while RPS 205 works on ways to incorporate volunteers, we have also been approached by Rock House Kids for volunteers to tutor their students who are in need. This could involve helping a child trace letters, do math, or sit with a child and read as well as helping children navigate their Chromebooks.
Tutoring occurs on site at their facility oat 1325 7th Street between 1:00 and 4:30 PM weekdays. Similar to Rockford Reads, a volunteer can choose what hour or hours they want to contribute.
They do ask that the volunteer then keeps to that schedule as much as possible.
