The Critical Role of the Nonprofit Sector

Pam Clark Reidenbach, co-founder and current CEO of the Center for Nonprofit Excellence (NICNE) housed at Northern Illinois University, will discuss the value of the nonprofit sector, its current state, and the role the entire community plays in addressing complex social issues necessary for a healthy community.
Ms. Clark Reidenbach has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois-Champaign/Urbana and a master’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She has 25 years of nonprofit experience with fourteen years as a nonprofit CEO.  Prior to co-founding NICNE, Pam worked as a nonprofit consultant.  She was the CEO of the YWCA of Rockford, Executive Director of the Northwest Community Center, and Executive Director of a domestic violence shelter in Fond du Lac, WI.
In addition, Pam has been on numerous nonprofit and foundation boards, including Crusader Community Health Foundation, Rockford Lutheran School, Rockford Women’s Network, Kiwanis Club of Rockford, Womanspace, and various United Way committees.
She also is a busy facilitator/trainer on topics including Collective Impact, Cultural Diversity, Board Development, Team Building, Social Entrepreneurship, and Building Logic Models, to name just a few. Clearly, she is passionate about the power and potential of our community moving the needle on complex social issues.
Pam is married to Tom and has two children, Hannah and Zach.
This will be an interesting and informative program about the role that nonprofits play in our community.  This will be an excellent opportunity to bring a guest or prospective member.  Suzanne Berger will introduce our presenter and act as Rotary host.
