Bridges Out of Poverty Project

One Body Collaboratives is built on the concept of collaboration and has an original mission to unite the Christian Churches to collaboratively work together.  In addition to our 100+ Network Partner Churches, representing over 20 denominations; we also have over 40 local ministries and 120 local service agencies within our referral network.  Our mission is to mobilize, coordinate and further develop church and community resources to rebuild lives and transform our community.
One Body Collaboratives has recently launched an initiative with Transform Rockford to reduce poverty in our community.  The project is called "Bridges Out of Poverty".
Mary Cacioppi joined the Leadership Team of One Body Collaboratives in January, 2017. She brings 14 years of experience in the non-profit sector to the organization, as well as expertize in fund development, volunteer management and communications.
Mary’s professional background in community and economic development provide her with a unique insight of our region. Through her previous role with the Rockford Area Economic Development Council (RAEDC), she worked on many community projects including Alignment Rockford and Transform Rockford.
In a volunteer capacity, Mary produced the inaugural TEDxRockford event celebrating the many positive attributes of the region.
She is a past board member of Next Rockford, RAEDC, Rockford Network of Professional Women, and the Boylan Alumni Network.
Mary holds a B.A. in business administration from Madison University and graduated with Honors Cum Laude. She is a past recipient of the Rockford Chambers 40 Leaders Under 40 and Woman Business Leader of Tomorrow awards, honoring her professional and volunteer achievements.
Mary will talk about Bridges Out of Poverty; what is it, what it plans to do, and how we might be able to help or participate.  This will be an interesting and informative program.  It will also be an opportunity to bring a guest or prospective member.  Martha Byrnes will introduce our presenter and act as Rotary host.
