Our annual tradition of the Order of the Shelf will continue this year with Roast Master Paul Logli leading the festivities as we "welcome" Pete Rundquist as our 2023-24 President.  This should be a fun meeting because Paul and his gang will be using material supplied by Pete's wife Becky.  Please join us for the fun in person at Memorial Hall or via zoom. 

 

     President Pete has the following update regarding our summer schedule:

 

     New Member Reception

 

     On June 22nd, Rockford Rotary celebrated our new members this year with a reception at the University Club.  It was a great turnout with good conversation and wonderful U-Club hor d'oeuvres.  The new members present were introduced along with their sponsors, which in many cases was Frank Buchmann.  Each new member talked about what they had gotten out of Rotary so far.  It was encouraging to note that so many of them were already actively involved in club activities.  Congratulations to the new members and the members who were responsible for putting together such a successful event.

 

 

 

 

 

 

     After our June 22nd meeting, several members helped weed and cleanup the rain garden that Rockford Rotary planted last year.  The garden looks great and it appears that hard work and fun was had by all who participated.

     Our goal for the Rotary International Foundation giving for the 2022-23 year is $15,000.  We have surpassed our goal and donations are still coming in.  We will have a complete list of donors in the near future.

 

     Donations for the 2022-23 Year must reach Rotary International by June 30th, so there is not much time to make your donation.
