Caring Canines Therapy Dog Team
Claudia Aschbrenner is the Coordinator of The Caring Canines Therapy Dog Team at SwedishAmerican Hospital. She coordinates the schedule within the hospital and also plans community outreach presentations and visits. She monitors the program to assure we maintain the high standards SwedishAmerican has for the therapy dog team. I began on the program volunteering with my Corgi named Sequin and then joined the team as an employee. I now have the privilege of working with 20 incredible certified therapy dog teams, getting to know the dogs and their ‘human’ handlers.
Claudia will share information about the origin of Therapy Dog Work; What makes a great Therapy Dog; and how her team affects patients, staff, and guests at the hospital and the SwedishAmerican Cancer Center. This will be an interesting and informative program and an excellent opportunity to bring a guest or prospective member. Suzanne Berger will introduce our presenter and act as Rotary Host.
