"Rockford and the 19th Amendment"
Midway Village Museum Curator Laura Furman, will talk about the 19th Amendment that gave women the right to vote. She will also discuss some of Rockford's own suffragists who lobbied for that right.
Laura Furman has served as the Curator of Collections of Midway Village Museum since 2006. A native of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Laura earned an M.A. in Public History from Indiana University before moving to Rockford in 1997. Prior to her position at Midway Village, Laura was the Executive Director of Tinker Swiss Cottage Museum.
